VLABWEB Inspection is a control system capable of carrying out accurate analysis of continuous webs moving at very high speed, and has been employed in various sectors. In the paper making industry it is able to identify and distinguish between dimension defects on the newly-produced paper or paper as it is being converted. In the textile industry it is able to analyse fabrics and identify defects in the warp and weft on both natural and synthetic fabrics. In the production of plastic or metal film it is able to identify breaks, contaminants, moist spots, necks.
In the printing industry it can identify and record the defects present in the paper which may lead to “machine stoppages” and/or product quality problems. The working speeds in this industry can reach 18 metres per second and minimum dimension of a significant defect is in the range of one tenth of a square millimetre, depending on the machine.
